In the Lanka Premier League (LPL) match held in Pallekele, Pakistan's fast bowler Hasan Ali exhibited impeccable bowling skills, effectively making Shoaib Malik's impressive performance go waste. The clash was between Dambulla Aura (DA) and Jaffna Kings (JK).

During their batting innings, DA struggled against JK's bowling attack, with merely three batters reaching double-digit scores. Ultimately, they posted a total of 134 runs in 20 overs.

Shoaib Malik showcased remarkable bowling prowess by taking two crucial wickets, conceding only 13 runs in four overs.

As JK commenced their chase, Hasan Ali swiftly dismantled the top-order, dismissing both openers for just three and five runs respectively.

Despite Malik and Dunith Wellalage being the only ones to score in double digits for JK, Malik's unbeaten innings of 74 runs off 53 balls, including 11 boundaries, demonstrated his skill even at the age of 41.

Unfortunately for JK, they could only manage to score 125 runs in their 20 overs, resulting in a nine-run loss.

Hasan Ali's exceptional performance earned him the Player of the Game award, highlighting his outstanding bowling contribution.

In another LPL match on the same day, Pakistani skipper Babar Azam shone for Colombo Strikers against Galle Titans. Babar achieved an outstanding century with eight fours and five sixes, tallying a total of 104 runs in just 59 deliveries. His remarkable innings earned him the Player of the Match award, bringing his T20 Player of the Match accolades to a total of 21.

Babar Azam's century marked his tenth in T20 cricket, making him the first Asian batsman to achieve this milestone. He now stands behind only Chris Gayle in terms of most T20 centuries.

While Babar laid the foundation for Strikers' impressive innings, it was Mohammad Nawaz who sealed the victory for his team with a fantastic display in the final over. Nawaz's skill was evident as he contributed 14 runs off four deliveries, including two boundaries and two doubles, when his team required 14 runs off five balls.
